Stephen Boyett
PARTNER
Stephen (Steve) Boyett is a partner with DCH Law LLP. His areas of practice cover a range of corporate and real estate matters, including commercial, residential, and energy-related real estate issues involving acquisition, disposition, land use, construction, lending and finance, development, and leasing. Steve also has significant experience in sports facility development, leasing, and finance in both the professional and collegiate spaces. Additionally, Steve advises clients in corporate formation, mergers and acquisitions, compliance matters, and governance best practices.
Prior to joining DCH Law LLP full time, Steve was a Senior Attorney Editor for Thomson Reuters’ Practical Law offering, developing California and New York real estate materials designed to assist lawyers in the efficient and comprehensive practice of real estate law. He was the Leasing Committee lead, tasked with guiding the work of the committee in developing landlord, tenant, and property manager guides and form agreements, as well as the What’s Market leasing editor, overseeing the publication of market guidance for attorneys negotiating commercial leases nationwide. Steve spent time as an attorney consultant to Foley & Lardner LLP, working with the sports industry team on stadium finance and development transactions for public and private entities.
Prior to joining Thomson Reuters, Steve began his career with Foley & Lardner’s real estate and finance practice groups, as well as the sports and energy industry teams. Steve previously worked at Cornerstone Real Estate Funds (now Sentio Healthcare Properties owned by Kayne Anderson Real Estate Advisors, L.P.) and for Judge Joan Kessler of the Wisconsin Court of Appeals, District I. Steve is licensed to practice in California and Wisconsin.
In their free time, Steve and his husband Jon spend as much time as possible with their nephews and niece. When they are not with their extended family, Steve lends a hand to further Jon’s endeavors as an independent filmmaker.
